Tony Smith in Bryant Park

In celebration of Tony Smith's centennial and his legacy as a pioneer of public art in New York City parks, the Art Production Fund will present the artist's large-scale One-Two-Three, 1976, in Bryant Park from March 13th through April 10th, 2013. The three-unit steel sculpture, which Smith specifically conceived for outdoor display, will be installed on the lawn near Bryant Park’s Fountain Terrace located at the entrance of 6th Avenue and 41st Street. Smith’s work inaugurated the public arts programming in New York City parks when he exhibited eight plywood sculptures in the same park in 1967.
