Gary Hume at Regent's Place

British Land has unveiled a major new art commission for its Regent’s Place campus, Pecking Bird by Gary Hume.

Hume’s first public artwork in his bold painting style is over forty feet tall and consists of twenty aluminum panels joined together in a single towering composition. Birds and other motifs from the natural world pervade Hume’s work, and Pecking Bird particularly evokes the avian wildlife of Regent’s Park, a 275-acre parkland near Regent’s Place.

Pecking Bird is installed on the Triton Building, a new residential development designed by Stephen Marshall, and can be seen from the intersection of Tottenham Court Road and Euston Road, just steps from the Warren Street Underground station.
