PRODUCTION MANAGER


The production manager will be responsible for preparing all aspects of the gallery inventory for exhibition readiness and safe transport. The production manager will focus on preparing all works for public display, which includes but is not limited to ensuring the works are in excellent condition and are displayed according to the intent of the artist or curator. The production manager must also determine suitable packing and transportation materials, and then oversee relevant production.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior director of operations, in tandem with gallery staff and outside contractors, to ensure all artworks are optimally prepared for exhibition.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Manage all conservation
-Manage all framing
-Coordinate all production of display materials such as pedestals and vitrines
-Oversee the production of travel frames, crates, and other packing materials
-Carefully track inventory and corresponding costs of all display apparatus and crating equipment
-Additional responsibilities as assigned where relevant

Key Skills/Experience:
-Undergraduate degree and knowledge of modern and contemporary art
-At least 5 years of applicable and relevant experience
-Fluency in artists’ materials, framing, fine art handling, and installation
-Discreet and professional demeanor
-Work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

EXHIBITION MANAGER, New York


The exhibition manager will be primarily responsible for managing the development, maintenance, installation and de-installation of all New York exhibitions under the guidance of the senior director of operations. The exhibition manager will also assist with preparing artworks and gallery spaces for private viewings.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior director of operations, in tandem with gallery staff and outside vendors, to ensure all New York galleries and viewing rooms are pristine and ready for presentation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Establish timeline for installation and de-installation of exhibitions
-Oversee alterations to the gallery’s structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems when needed for exhibitions
-Manage installation and de-installation of exhibitions, overseeing a team of preparators, freelancers, and outside contractors
-Daily maintenance and inspection of exhibition spaces, artworks on view, and viewing rooms
-Assist head preparator in readying viewing rooms and artworks for private viewings
-Pack artwork and provide shipping assistance to a team of registrars
-Additional responsibilities are assigned where relevant

Key Skills/Experience:
-Undergraduate degree and knowledge of modern and contemporary art
-At least 5 years of applicable and relevant experience
-Fluency in artists’ materials, fine art handling, and installation
- Knowledge and experience in the coordination, preparation and installation of art exhibitions
-Discreet and professional demeanor
-Work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
