This monograph reproduces Jasper Johns' sculptures and works on paper, all completed over the last five years, which are included in the exhibition "New Sculpture and Works on Paper" at Matthew Marks Gallery, New York. The catalogue is illustrated throughout in color and black and white, and features many detail photographs of the imagery and complex patterns of textures that cover each sculpture’s surface. The plates sections are accompanied by a conversation between Johns and Terry Winters, conducted in the summer and fall of 2010, which takes Johns’ new works as the starting point for a broader discussion of his artistic practice.
